As it was brought up in the general shoutbox area of the game, I like the idea of not allowing new players to start in the Autumn or winter since this would really hurt the new player's moral...they should probably have to wait for the Spring to start up or they could be given enough food to sustain them through the winter as a bonus. Say enough to feed 25,000 population since it would take some time to built it up to this amount and by the time the new player has a good size population, spring season should be starting up by then. just a suggestion.

Players starting in summer, autumn or winter get extra food reserves. They can of course out grow these, but it is possible to survive.
